EMINA BUZINKIC



Emina Bužinkić je politična aktivistka, ki svoje delo oblikuje na presečišču migracij, izobraževanja, transnacionalnega feminizma in solidarnosti. Ukvarja se z raziskovanjem, pisanjem, izobraževanjem, javnim spodbujanjem in odporniškim aktivizmom pri (re)oblikovanju kritike proti togosti migracijskih in mejnih režimov, rasizmu in etnonacionalizmu. V zadnjih dveh desetletjih je sodelovala v protivojnih in mirovnih gibanjih na Balkanu. Doktorirala je iz kritičnih študij izobraževanja, kulture, feminizma in človekovih pravic na Univerzi v Minnesoti v ZDA. Njena trenutna meditacija in obsesija je knjiga v nastajanju “Storying Social Distancing: Rasa, meja in begunci”. Pred kratkim je začela delati kot postdoktorska raziskovalka na Inštitutu za mednarodne odnose in razvoj v Zagrebu.



Emina Bužinkić is a political activist who shapes her work at the intersections of migration, education, transnational feminism and solidarity. Emina is engaged in research, writing, education, public agitation and resistance activism in (re)formulating criticism against the rigidity of migration and border regimes, racism and ethno-nationalism. Over the past two decades, she took part in anti-war and peace movements in the Balkans. She Emina obtained her doctoral degree in critical educational, cultural, feminist and human rights studies at the University of Minnesota in the USA. Her current meditation and obsession is her book-in-progress Storying Social Distancing: Race, Border and Refugee. Since recently, she has been working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for International Relations and Development in Zagreb.
