SAMAR ZUGHOOL
Samar Zughool (ona) je politologinja, medkulturna trenerka in raziskovalka. Prek umetniškega kolektiva SIDE v Sloveniji soustvarja skupnostne umetnosti, katerih namen je vdira, prevzema in poustvarja politične, kulturne in umetniške scene z intersekcijske feministične perspektive.
Samar Zughool (she) was born in Amman, Jordan, and lives in Slovenia. She is a political scientist, an intercultural trainer, and a researcher. She conducted her master's thesis on the role of women's rights movements in reforming public policies after the Arab Spring. Back in Jordan, she used forum theatre and dance to build intercultural bridges, and she is doing the same in Slovenia, where she moved about ten years ago. As a member of the Gender Working Group of CONCORD, the European Confederation of Development NGOs, she researches gender mainstreaming in international policies. Samar finds her calling in atheist, queer, and decolonial feminisms. Through the SIDE art collective in Slovenia, she intercreates community arts to hack, hijack, and recreate political, cultural, and artistic scenes from an intersectional feminist lens.
