TANJA MISKOVA
Tanja Miškova je poklicna diplomatka. V zadnjih nekaj letih se vse bolj ukvarja z vodno diplomacijo in krožnim gospodarstvom. Večji del svojega 28-letnega dela na Ministrstvu za zunanje zadeve Republike Slovenije se je ukvarjala z Bližnjim vzhodom, zlasti z izraelsko-arabskim konfliktom. Bila je namestnica vodje misije na slovenskem veleposlaništvu v Izraelu, nato je delala kot diplomatska svetovalka predsednika republike dr. Danila Türka. Po vrnitvi na ministrstvo je bila nacionalna koordinatorka za Sredozemsko unijo. Bila je veleposlanica v Egiptu (nerezidenčna v Jordaniji, Savdski Arabiji, ZAE, Kuvajtu, Katarju in Omanu). Na Ministrstvu za zunanje zadeve je bila vodja oddelka za nove grožnje in izzive ter vršilka dolžnosti generalne direktorice za večstranske zadeve, razvojno sodelovanje in mednarodno pravo. Trenutno je posebna odposlanka za vodno diplomacijo na Ministrstvu za zunanje zadeve Republike Slovenije.
Tanja Miškova is a career diplomat. In the past couple of years she has been increasingly working on water diplomacy and circular economy. For the most part of the 28 years at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia she dealt with the Middle East, particularly the Israeli-Arab conflict. She served as Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Slovenia in Israel, then worked as Diplomatic Adviser to the President of Slovenia Dr. Danilo Türk. After returning to the ministry, she was the National Coordinator for the Union of the Mediterranean. She served as Ambassador to Egypt (non-resident to Jordan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman). She held the position of the Head of Department for Emerging Threats and Challanges at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and of Acting Director General for Multilateral Affairs, Development Cooperation and International Law. At the moment she is Ambassador in charge of water diplomacy and circular economy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia.
